About
Dr. Harter knows a tremendous amount about peoples' pain and what to do about it. She is the founder of 1A Wellness, a psychotherapy practice that specializes in the treatment of anxiety throughout Mass., and having conducted well over 20,000 therapy sessions, she believes in peoples' ability to transform their lives. Her style is personable and she views each client as a key resource and collaborator in the process of change. As a scientist-practitioner, her research on emotions and relationships informs her clinical practice and she takes a nonjudgmental, developmental approach to understanding the origins of emotional pain.
Her unique approach draws from expertise in three core empirically-validating therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), and psychodynamic therapy. Her varied expertise allows her to use what works best for each person so that they can make enduring changes and live fuller and more joyful lives.
People who are willing to choose to begin therapy are exceptional. We cannot change the past. But by investing in good therapy, we can reclaim our lives and change the future. Dr. Harter is a compassionate caregiver who is a 100 percent committed to helping people in their suffering.
