I advocate to bridge the gaps between the brain and body, individuals and societal resources, seeking to improve the overall well-being within our communities by meeting the needs of the individual and their families. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, or just needs a "check in", my goal is to allow space for those things to exist until they can be put in their proper place where they do not consume someone's life in a debilitating way. To do this I employ several methods of therapy some of which include the CBT, DBT, internal family systems, and sandtray therapy.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW and therapist, in the states of MT and NC with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Military Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelors of Psychology and child and family development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I founded Ambre's Bridge Counseling & Consulting in memory and honor of my sister, Ambre Lee Grovhoug, who struggled with her mental health through her own life journey. She continues to teach me how important it is to connect with the person, to validate who they are, and then build a bridge to help them move in a positive way along their journey.
