I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths to improve and/or overcome life's challenges. My focus is to identify the barriers that are in your way of becoming your best self. Sometimes those barriers are our unhelpful thinking patterns which become a habit over time. I will work with you to rewrite those old scripts that are not serving you with true accounts of your ability and life. In 2002, I graduated from Marshall University Graduate College with a Master's Degree in Counseling. Now as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I bring over 20 years of professional work experience.
I am credentialed as a Master Addiction Counselor since 2005 and a Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher. I have expertise in helping clients face a myriad of issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, performance enhancement, coping with addictions, anger management, and busyness.
Building community in a safe place to reveal ourselves is a goal of therapy. Taking this step to sign up for therapy is courageous and you are well on your way. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey. I offer evening and weekend virtual sessions at this time.
