I'm an LCSW practicing in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and my office is conveniently located three blocks from the Bedford L stop. I'm psychodynamically oriented, and I specialize in anxiety, play therapy, trauma, animal-assisted therapy, and attachment. I enjoy helping families to strengthen relationships. Play is a child's natural way of communicating, and thus is the perfect tool for therapy with young children. I often work with older children, teens, and adults as well, and tailor my therapeutic approach to the needs of each person I work with.
I have training specific to anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss. I provide animal-assisted therapy on Mondays with Eleanor (Bernedoodle) and Wednesdays with Edie (Newfydoodle). When working with children, I understand the importance of including caregivers in a child's therapy, and will include you every step of the way.
I understand that it isn't easy to reach out for help for yourself or your child, but I'm here to make sure therapy is helpful for both of you. In addition to supporting your child or teen through therapy, I'll also create behavior strategies you can utilize at home.
