About
I commend you for taking the brave step to consider starting therapy. It is my sincere hope that our work together will encourage you and help you to heal and grow. We all experience challenges in life; sometimes those challenges turn our lives upside down and shatter our lives into broken pieces. Engaging in therapy can help you put the pieces together to create a beautiful mosaic of a life that is filled with peace, hope, joy, meaning, and fulfillment. Growth and change are possible when you make the commitment to prioritize yourself and do your healing work. I consider it a privilege to join you on this journey.
Through our work together, you can gain insight regarding your thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior. I provide a safe place to examine all aspects of yourself, your history, and your present including trauma, loss, relationships, race, gender, spirituality, and family of origin in order to understand how these various layers shape your experiences.
I use an integrated approach which draws from different therapeutic models including Psychodynamic, Family Systems, Attachment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My areas of expertise include: depression, trauma, anxiety, attachment and relationship issues, grief and loss, and Christian counseling.
