I want to warmly congratulate you on looking into therapy. It takes courage and honesty to reach out for help, and the results can be life changing! One of the most important aspects in this work is developing a strong therapeutic alliance. I work towards developing this with you by bringing empathy, non-judgmental curiosity, warmth, as well as some humor into our sessions.
Together, we explore what it is to be human, societal/systemic issues you may face, where and how you can get stuck, and where you want to go and the ways to get there. I have worked with teenagers and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, grief, relationship issues, bipolar, ADHD, and OCD.
I have completed Phase I and II training in Brainspotting, which is a modality that can help one process more quickly and effectively than talk therapy alone. It is especially helpful for those who have experienced trauma. I also draw from humanistic, mindfulness, parts, and body-based therapies. Together, we can find what works best for you and your goals.
