My approach to therapy is empathic, collaborative, and results-oriented. We will work together to explore what may be holding you back from living a fulfilling, satisfying life. Together we will seek solutions building on your strengths and resources and leading to positive change. I work with clients who are anxious, depressed, feel stuck or confused about career or relationships; or are otherwise unable to achieve their life goals. Together we will find ways to gain clarity, build strength to become unstuck, and move forward to find the healthy balance, stability, confidence, and self-regard you seek.
I work with clients to identify personal strengths and resources for support as they navigate challenging or painful issues in their lives. Talk psychotherapy can deepen insight and strengthen the ability to face current issues in the present. We may also use trauma focused therapy (EMDR) to explore ways in which past experiences may be impeding progress.
I see clients and couples of all ages, sexual orientations, and gender identities. My extensive and varied life experience includes: professional dance, journalism, legal studies, parent coaching, and more. Finally, I have significant expertise working with parents and families of transgender, nonbinary, queer, and gender expansive youth and young adults.
