Welcome! My name is Kristin Doran and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I hold a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I am also a masters level CASAC and have 10 years experience supporting individuals living with dual diagnosis as well as substance use difficulties. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, issues surrounding self-esteem, maladaptive coping skills, stress management, in addition to life transitions and relationship issues.
I utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower and encourage individuals to facilitate intrinsic change. I implement Solution Focused Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), SBT (Strengths Based Therapy) and Person Centered techniques while cultivating a safe space for the therapeutic process.
