About
"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters to what lies within us."( Ralph Waldo Emerson) I believe there are a variety of channels which can facilitate one back to their inner wisdom, supporting shifts in self compassion and empowerment. As a Mindy Body Therapist, I am dedicated to providing tools which help one access their own internal resources. I bring a unique perspective to my work, incorporating 20 years of studying both eastern and western practices and philosophies. I use an integrated approach to address issues such as: trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, parenting issues, identity issues, PTSD, chronic pain.
Experiences and our interpretations of those experiences are reflected in our thoughts, feelings, the way we move, how we breathe and how our body has evolved over the years. Body-Centered psychotherapy can support the healing of challenging symptoms to enhance our fulfillment and participation in life.
My practice is influenced by Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Meditation,Trauma Informed Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Yoga Informed Psychotherapy, Reiki. These tools may be used throughout the treatment process in collaboration and agreement with you as the client. Clients may work lying down, sitting or standing.
