Kristin Coggin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. She received her B.S degree in Psychology from Columbus State University and a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from The University of Georgia. Kristin has experience working with adults, adolescents and children in both individual and group settings. She also has experience in family counseling and crisis intervention. Her experiences include working with clients of all ages in areas including mood/anxiety disorders, anger management, relationship issues and ADHD. Kristin also utilizes Canine Assisted Therapy in her sessions with her Therapy Dog, Tripp.

She sees counseling as a process of fostering hope and support to enhance intrinsic motivation for change. She focuses on meeting each client where they are in their lives and facilitating their individual journey towards growth.
As a Registered Play Therapist, Kristin most frequently utilizes Child Centered Play Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with children ages 3-12. Play is a child’s language. By using toys, sand trays and other creative expressive techniques children are able to express themselves, problem solve, experiment and gain self-confidence.
