Hello! I'm Kristi Tomlinson, a psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about helping those who are experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma by using somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR Therapy. From my experience, I believe people are incredibly resilient with the proper support, tools, and healing. I work with adults who want help for anxiety and trauma. This includes generalized anxiety disorder, intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, panic disorder, and trauma/PTSD.
Trauma is more complicated than is assumed by the general public- trauma can also include overwhelming periods in life where we lose our ability to cope, negative childhood experiences, and situations where we lose trust or faith in ourselves or the world.
At first I try to get to know each individual and try to put together the puzzle pieces to make sense of their life, story, and what they are experiencing. I ask clients the first session, as well as periodically throughout our work together, about their goals and what they are hoping to get out of therapy.
