Hello! My name is Kristen Thomas and I am a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Counseling/Human Services and a minor in Psychology. With early acceptance in to the Accelerated M.S. Program, I continued on in my education and earned my Master’s Degree in PK-12 School Counseling. I also hold a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study that I used to obtain my LPC.
I specialize in meeting with individuals who may be experiencing a multitude of mental health concerns. My experiences include working with adolescents and young adults encountering difficulties with depression, anxiety, gender identity issues, self-esteem, grief, attention disorders, self-harm, coping skills, and peer relationships.
I view therapy as a collaborative, “team” effort, in which I provide a safe environment to help clients work through challenges. With a person centered approach, my goal is to assist individuals in reaching their fullest potential by highlighting their strengths and helping them work through their areas of growth and healing.
