Clinical Social Work/Therapist, EdD, LCSW-C
Congratulations on your decision to seek therapy. You have made a valuable decision to honor your inner needs and feelings. It is my belief that all individuals have a desire to live a meaningful and purposeful life, yet sometimes become "stuck" in unhealthy ways of thinking about themselves and their circumstances. My approach involves the integration of Afrocentric practices, Mindfulness-based practices, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Therapy is viewed as a collaborative process where the client and I work together to discover solutions to life's challenges.
A significant portion of my practice is devoted to working with women who are experiencing challenges with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, work-life balance, relationship difficulties, self-care, and parenting. I encourage women to embrace who they truly are while learning to balance their needs and wants with those of others around them.
I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that enables clients to feel valued, understood, and free to express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. It would be an honor and privilege to be able to support you on your journey of personal growth and self-exploration.
