Hello! I'm Kristen, and I'm here to help you navigate through life's challenges. Have you been feeling little or no enjoyment in the things that used to bring you joy? Do you feel stuck in negative thought patterns or easily irritated? Maybe you are longing for close relationships with others, but once conflict arises or someone begins to be vulnerable, you become scared, which in turn leads you to pull away from those you love.
My main theoretical approaches are Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, but I also include somatic body-centered techniques, ecotherapy, various arts, Gestalt, and mindfulness/play therapy based on the needs of each client. I have worked with clients who were sex trafficked; had substance, sex, eating disorder, and other kinds of addictions
My aim is to join with you in your therapeutic journey and facilitate the process of healing, as I believe each person has the potential and strength within them to overcome whatever adversity they have experienced.
