My name is Kristen Ellis, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) working with clients statewide via telehealth. I specialize in anxiety, stress, grief, and life changes, using a variety of modalities. I believe everyone can recover and achieve their goals. I have found my style and approach are a good fit for people who are dealing with life transitions and stressful times. These are common human experiences and normalizing them can allow people to have a better outlook on life and the outcomes of therapy.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each person I work with, and I most frequently use Solution-Focused and Narrative therapies, as both allow me to help the client build an understanding of their current situation and collaborate to find new ways of living.
You are the expert on your goals and dreams. We will approach these goals, and steps to get there, together and collaboratively. I will act as your guide to get to where you want to be, and support you in incremental change to achieve those goals.
