Every individual is working through various experiences and emotions that are influenced by the world around them. As a counselor, it is my desire to foster an environment of healing, exploration, and empowerment. My approach to counseling looks at the systems that surround us including family, environment, and society. These systems have a profound impact on our multiple identities including race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, ability, body size, and more. It is the intersection of these identities that make us who we are.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, and I try to bring a sense of humor to my practice, as I believe levity can create a fuller experience, deeper relationship, and much needed break. I provide disordered eating care, affirmative care for LGBTQIA+ clients, and have experience in trauma informed systems from an Indigenous perspective.
As a counselor, I focus on the power of an authentic therapeutic relationship and enjoy collaborating with clients. Through counseling, I am hopeful that we can explore and honor all parts of you.
