I specialize in working alongside children, families, and adult individuals in facing and overcoming adversity, life challenges, and discovering ways to live and experience life as authentically possible. I enjoy helping people find balance by working through anxiety, depression, and/or identifying healthy boundaries within their relationships. I also think it is important to work through past experiences in order to create empowerment. I like helping children and adults experience confidence in feeling and communicating their emotions in a healthy way.
I can help by working together to develop healthy coping strategies and techniques, support skills for positive relationships, and encourage growth in self-esteem. This is done through relationship building, use of personal strengths, collaboration with families, and interventions influenced by CBT, DBT, and play therapy techniques.
It takes courage and bravery to take the first step in seeking support. My approach is collaborative with children, families, and adults. I will meet you with whatever it is you are coming in with for that week. With children/families, I make sure that parents are a part of the process so learned skills and strategies can be supported outside of sessions.
