Reaching out for help is sometimes the most difficult step in one's journey to healing. That is why finding a clinician with whom you can connect is so critical in the therapeutic process. I believe in a client-centered approach and providing an environment where a client feels valued, understood and supported. Gaining confidence in yourself to manage daily stressors, challenging relationships, and life's hardships can have a positive long-lasting affect on overall mental and physical well-being.
Upon earning my Masters Degree in Social Work in 2003, I began my journey as a clinician with an interest and focus on how environment and mindset can impact overall functioning. With a background in trauma work, anxiety, interpersonal/interfamilial relations, and academic struggles, I use several treatment modalities based on my clients needs.
Through my relationships with my clients, coupled with a compassionate approach, my goal for my clients is to feel that they have made personal growth and learned positive means to cope and manage stress, which can lead to long-term positive changes in their lives.
