I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor specializing in the treatment of trauma. I'm particularly passionate about working with adults processing childhood physical, sexual, emotional and mental abuse and neglect. My approach often focuses on what it means to give gratitude to all the ways our bodies and minds have learned to manage our trauma and keep us alive, while examining the cost of maintaining these habits and strategies into a safer present and future.
I am a Registered Drama Therapist with the NADTA. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Drama Therapy from CIIS. My thesis was on the utility of online trauma-informed drama therapy influenced by polyvagal theory and somatic experiencing, acknowledging the implications, challenges, and benefits of Telehealth.
Prior to working private practice I was a part of the Compass Silver Springs Launch team: a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient facility leading the Experiential and Trauma Group Therapy programs teaching CPT, CBT, DBT, and ACT. My goal has always been to help clients develop confidence in their ability to gauge and create safety for themselves.

It can be destabilizing to start with a new therapist and feel pressure to recount every trauma in detail to get them "up to speed". While I do take a broad history, and ask probing questions I actively encourage clients to only share what they feel they can trust me with at any given time. This creates a safer, more collaborative experience and timeline for treatment.
