About
I enjoy working with people from all different walks of life. Many of my clients are learning how to take up space and how to create healthy boundaries, sometimes for the first time in their lives. This requires raising awareness of our own feelings and the unmet needs connected to them. With that awareness, clients learn how to better advocate for themselves using creative coping strategies and healthier communication with others. I like to help people who are looking to reignite the light in their hearts and to build stronger community around them, which will alleviate the intensity of mental health symptoms.
My clients describe my style as genuine, comfortable, patient and educational. I lead with empathy while also helping people connect with reason, skills, and resources. I specialize in holding the complexities of culture, trauma, identities and spirituality. I enjoy nurturing the two-way street of our empathy for others and compassion for ourselves.
I believe there is a natural connection between the peace we wish to see in our communities, the peace we foster in our relationships with others and the peace we seek to have within ourselves. I welcome therapeutic relationships that honor each other's humanity while also centering clients and their needs. Come as you are...your full, authentic self.
