About
As a therapist, I work collaboratively with my clients in processing their experiences and finding healthy and productive ways to solve problems as well as gain insight into the reasons for maladaptive behaviors. In the treatment process, the client formulates their own treatment goals and we will work together to find ways to achieve these goals via modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Solutions-focused modalities. I see my role as one of support, guidance, active listening, and empowering the client to develop positive coping mechanisms in the process of making changes to thoughts and behaviors.
Treatment modalities that I use are Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Strength-based and Solution-Focused therapy depending on which combination suits my client. Some areas in which I specialize are anxiety, depression, relationship issues/divorce and low self-esteem. I see clients in session via in person, video, phone, livechat or email messaging.
Seeking out therapy can be a daunting step but being self-aware and acknowledging that one may need support in making positive changes takes a great deal of strength and initiative.
