Thank you for visiting my page. I began Krista's Counseling and Consulting to support individuals achieve mental health goals through compassion, trust, and safety. I have over 20 years of experience helping diverse individuals recover from trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, and overall life stressors. I specialize in women's and men's issues, having worked in women shelters and for the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have tremendous respect for individuals who choose to seek counseling. I specialize in helping adolescents through seniors. The therapy is for you and about you.
My therapeutic model emphasizes trust and transparency. Beginning counseling is a vulnerable time, and the persons ability to feel comfortable is the first step. My strength-based therapy revolves around emotional needs, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and survivor-centered approaches.
