Hi, I’m Krista!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Calm-ish Counseling, a woman-owned private practice located in the heart of Downtown Monroe, NC. I specialize in working with adolescents/teens, women navigating life’s challenges, and parents who are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or just over it.
Therapy with me is laid-back, supportive, and real. Whether your teenager is struggling with anxiety, you’re a mom trying to hold it all together, or you’re a woman feeling stuck or burned out. I use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and practical coping skills to help with overall confidence and functioning in daily life.
I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic space where you can fully be yourself. I'm not a "nodding therapist", I will meet you with compassion, I’ll also gently challenge you to grow and take steps toward your goals at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
