I have a deep commitment to improving my clients' sense of safety and peace in the world, and specifically - in relationships. I have seen the many ways relationships shape our well being. Learning to feel more confident and connected is a goal therapy can help achieve. Years ago teaching self-defense, I discovered some very key components of healing: assertiveness and boundaries.I believe that key to many issues is an awareness of our boundaries, the skills to set limits and the development of assertiveness. When we honor our integrity and self respect we create internal courage. Connections become easier and more healthy.
I have an eclectic approach. I use cognitive behavioral approaches as well as mindfulness & more. I will listen carefully and help sort out the root of your concerns, using strategies that best match the issue and you.
