I deliver cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments to adult, seniors, and teens with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. I try to build on an individual's strengths and individualize therapy to each person's need. I believe psychotherapy can help individuals most effectively use their resources to increase self-understanding, to improve decision-making, to solve problems, and to create paths to the lives they want. I use mindfulness training to help clients live in the moment, with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach.

Dr. Young believes that growth occurs through honest, thoughtful dialogue rather than simply telling clients what they want to hear. This approach led to her being nicknamed, “Dr. Keep-It-Real” during her internship. By offering direct yet compassionate feedback, she helps clients gain deeper perspectives into their inner world—how their experiences, emotional patterns, and sense of self may influence the ways they navigate life and relationships.

I work with women and teenagers navigating life transitions, career stress, trauma, anxiety, and the pressures of modern life. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we work together to understand challenges and find practical ways forward. I also specialize in working with families navigating technology-related challenges, particularly those affecting children and adolescents, including social media, online safety, digital boundaries, and the growing influence of emerging technologies like AI.
