Our first session is designed to support you feeling comfortable and focused on what you'd like to accomplish, rather than spending the entire time reviewing your past.
While we will be exploring and learning more about your background, we will continue learning more as the history gradually unfolds. I will start by reviewing consent and confidentiality so you understand your rights, privacy, and the ethical framework that guides our work.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I take an eclectic person-centered approach grounded in Rogerian principles of unconditional positive regard and empathy.
I integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and Eastern philosophies (including Ayurvedic principles) to encourage restoration, relaxation and a deeper connection with self and others.
The foundation of my practice and therapeutic style is Unconditional Positive Regard for my clients and creating a safe relationship, in which to explore my client's goals. My experience and passion remains in existential, humanistic, behavioral, jungian, psychoanalytic, and somatic therapies, and creating customized eclectic treatment plans with my clients.
