Seeking therapy is a difficult decision and finding the right therapist is challenging. I specialize in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I teach clients skills they can continue to use even after therapy has ended. I help clients become aware of negative thought patterns and behaviors that are keeping them stuck. I work with client to do more of the things they want to do in life and feel more hopeful. I teach strategies to better manage stress, improve intimate and personal relationships, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
I use mindfulness techniques and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is a treatment that involves learning skills to help manage emotions and interpersonal relationships more effectively. I have speciality training in the treatment of adults with childhood abuse. I am curently working both in person and virtually.
I have been an assistant professor of psychiatry at Montefiore and Mt Sinai Hospitals. I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Rutgers University. I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at NYU Medical Center. Office Hours: Monday to Friday. No insurance accepted
