I am a licensed clinical social worker. I enjoy helping people gain new skills to enable them to get their life back and be more productive members of society. I enjoyed working with all types of clients from 14 years old and older. I enjoy working with clients who have substance use issues. I also enjoy working with clients who suffer from mental health disorders to help them to better manage their signs and symptoms.
Some of my therapeutic approaches are the use of Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and the skill set associated with that type of therapy. I also like to use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which allows the client to more fully understand where they are at as well as to motivate them for changes to become the person they want to become.
During therapy, I like to do a lot of client-centered to help the client understand where they are at and also to help them understand that the difficulties they are going through are able to be overcome.
