My approach to counseling starts with the belief that within each individual exists a profound, intrinsic capacity for self-healing — a deep inner knowing. Similar to the way the body heals itself when cut or a bone is fractured, I believe the human psyche also comes equipped with an innate capacity for self-healing. The trick is learning how to slow down and quiet the mind enough to hear what the inner healer has to say. Hi, I’m Kit Freedman — a counselor in private practice located in Laramie, WY.
My goal in counseling is to help clients move toward wholeness and wellbeing by providing the tools and conditions that can allow individuals to access their own deep, inner healing intelligence. I offer integrated, trauma-informed counseling guided by curiosity and compassion to individual adults ages 18 and older throughout Wyoming.
I use a humanistic, person-centered approach rooted in mindfulness and informed by IFS. Whether you’re dealing with trauma/addiction, relationship challenges, life transitions, or spiritual/existential concerns, please reach out.
