Hi, I'm Kirt Baab, LCSW. I'm a clinical social worker with an extensive history providing treatment for anxiety, depression, and trauma. I use several treatment methods including: supportive counseling, cognitive behavioral counseling, somatic therapy, and mindfulness.
Frequently, I work with adults who are having over whelming anxiety or frustration. I am effective at helping them with loss and accepting changes in their lives they fear or resent. I'm most comfortable working with adults who are challenged by emotions and thoughts they have tried their best to control and are disappointed when the symptoms return.
During our first meeting, we'll introduce ourselves. I'll ask you to describe what is happening and what is problematic about it taking place. I'll explain how I've seen others solve those problems and we'll discuss what you think is helping you in the present. We'll identify what you want and explore possible ways of finding satisfaction.
