Hi, I'm Kirsten and I'm a licensed social worker in Maryland, D.C., Virginia, and Minnesota! I appreciate you seeking support for yourself or a loved one, and honored you came across my page. I have spent years providing therapeutic support to anyone seeking services in an outpatient mental health clinic and substance use agency, no matter their diagnosis or their reason for seeking support, as well as many years in crisis prevention and intervention. This includes work with children, teens, couples, and adults across the lifespan.
While I have been formally trained in a variety of areas, such as DBT and Gottman, I believe that therapy should be something that works for you and tailored to what you feel is most helpful, and what may help you reach the goals you deem most important. I am always open to discussing with you how therapy can be as beneficial to you as possible.
I know reaching out and meeting with a therapist can be nerve-wracking, so I'm happy to connect with you in whatever way feels more comfortable. At this time, I am not taking new clients but I am happy to discuss the possibility of a wait list or assist in getting you connected elsewhere.
