Availability: Limited week day hours ( before 6p). My therapy style is practical, gentle and significantly informed by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model as well as Narrative,Relational, CBT and motivational interviewing frameworks. As a trained reiki master and yoga teacher, I integrate mindfulness-based practices including Reiki, guided imagery and breath work into traditional talk therapy sessions. I support clients in accessing internal resources, such as curiosity, compassion and confidence, to encourage their process of growth, change and healing in a trauma-informed and client-directed way.
I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and have worked for more than 20 years in community-based mental health settings. I am Level 2-trained in IFS with certification in process. My interests and clinical experience include chronic stress, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, compassion fatigue/secondary trauma, and racial, social and gender justice.
My ideal client is interested in the mind/body connection, resonates with IFS (Internal Family Systems) and is in health care, mental heath or education systems. Email is the best way to reach me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Groups
Mindfulness/Meditation for Beginners (8 weeks)
‘Meditation for Beginners’ is a group created for anyone who is new to meditation, believes that they can’t meditate, or has been unsuccessful in practicing meditation on their own for whatever reason. We will spend eight weeks reviewing the foundations of mindfulness and meditation while practicing different styles including mindfulness of breath, focused attention, movement, body scan, visualization and loving-kindness. My intention is to provide a low-pressure, compassionate space for learning, practice and support for the challenges that occur when practicing. And who knows, maybe it will even be fun! This in-person group will have a 6-person max.
