I often tell potential clients, “Ideally, you should be able to tell your therapist anything; if you can't, it might be time to find a new therapist". Accordingly, I believe the one of the most important factors for therapy success is to have an strong and trusting relationship with your therapist. My job is to see you clearly. If I can see you clearly, perhaps you can see yourself more clearly, and that can make all the difference. Together we will work to help you see your self clearly and compassionately; and to help alleviate the pain and anxiety getting in the way of living your best life.
My work with both teens and adults over the years has taught me that there is no one magical therapeutic approach that works with everyone. Thus, my approach utilizes a variety of methods to develop a unique treatment plan for each client. You are the expert on YOU, and I will regularly check in with you about any changes needed for your treatment.
My clients have consistently told me over the years that I am “easy to talk to”, “funny”, “down to earth”, “a strait shooter”, and an “influential support and cheerleader”. I genuinely work to create a warm, judgement-free space so that together, we can puzzle through what is causing concerns and collaboratively find a solution.
