Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients identify troubling thoughts and find ways to reframe those thoughts into positive, helpful thoughts. In doing so, your emotions come into alignment with your thoughts, and you find that your behavior changes as well. I also utilize a variety of trauma-focused strategies for those with traumatic pasts.
Counseling takes courage. It can be hard to trust your therapist and challenging to share your pain with another person. Even taking the first step to reach out for help can seem overwhelming.
