Hi! I'm Kim Neundorfer, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I work with adult clients throughout Georgia via telehealth. My therapeutic approach is, first and foremost, client-centered, as there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. I often work from a family systems perspective, as none of us live in a vacuum, and our families, friends, partners, and colleagues shape who we are. I see people as not just what they show on the outside, but as an ever-growing accumulation of internal and external experiences.
The majority of my experience has been with adults (of all ages - 18 to 88!) who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, dissociation, and adjustment to life changes. I have worked extensively with neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ adults, and disabled adults, providing affirming care.
I became a counselor so that I could use my skills of active listening, empathy, pattern recognition, and advocacy to help others. The first session is our getting-to-know-you session. We'll talk about your reasons for coming to counseling, the strengths that you already possess, and the areas you'd like to improve in your life.
