Hello! My name is Kim Nave, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee specializing in trauma therapy and certified in EMDR. My strengths-based approach offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. I chose to become a therapist because my oldest daughter's struggles with addiction and mental health issues made finding appropriate help challenging for our family. Additionally, having faced trauma myself, I am passionate about guiding others on their healing journey.
I typically utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions-Focused therapy, alongside Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I enjoy working with adults aged 20-60 and am most comfortable supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma.
I create a compassionate and warm therapeutic environment where clients feel deeply understood and supported. Working with me feels like a collaborative and empathetic journey, where we focus on healing and personal growth in a safe and non-judgmental space.
