Are you concerned that your substance use is causing some problems for you? Substance use is on a continuum, with abstinence on one end and severe abuse, or addiction, on the other. Historically, approaches to substance use treatment have been binary—you either use or you do not. While this approach is effective for some people, for most it feels restrictive and at times punitive. The goal of therapy is for you to determine—you may want to examine your use, minimize it, work toward ceasing use all together or even maintain positive changes you have already made.
My role is to help you gain clarity about your relationship with substances. I incorporate a strengths-based approach with the principles of harm reduction, designed to meet you where you are. Regardless of your goal, we will continually collaborate on ways to minimize any harm caused by substance use. No shame, only support.
Substance use and gambling can be stressful. Feelings of isolation and shame are common. It doesn't have to be that way. Together, we can explore your relationship with drugs or alcohol. No judgment. No shame. Whatever you are facing, you do not have to face it alone. Reach out and schedule your no-charge, 30 minute consultation today.
