My name is Kimberly Lovell, and I have been a mental health therapist for 13 years. Over the course of my career, I have worked in college counseling centers, community clinics, crisis stabilization, and first episode psychosis programs for youth. I have years of experience working with individuals who have Schizophrenia Spectrum, Anxiety, Mood, Substance Use, and Trauma & Stress Disorders.
As your therapist, I will work with you on identifying goals, strengths, supports, and skills that will help you achieve your best life. I live my life as a follower of Jesus, and I believe that allows me to pour out love, joy, and peace into my clients.
I mainly use CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, narrative, psychodynamic, and experiential techniques in therapy. I have found that the therapeutic relationship works best when clients are intentional about setting goals, learning in session, and honest about what they need.
