I specialize in working with children, teens, and women covering a variety of issues. ADHD/ASD, Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, and Women's issues are just to name a few. I am also a Neurodiversity Affirmation therapist that believes treatment should be centered on a client's strengths, not their weaknesses. My approach is to serve client needs through a holistic and client centered approach that fosters hope and healing. During our sessions together, I utilize evidenced-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused behavior therapy, play therapy, EMDR, and EFT (tapping), hypnotherapy, and brainspotting.
My focus areas are working with clients experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges while taking a strength-based and mindfulness approach. I feel this approach fosters clients by helping them achieve their goals, advocate for themselves, and attain the personal growth they are striving for.
Over the many years, I have found that drawing from a variety of techniques and methodologies is the most helpful to each of my clients. As a licensed mental health counselor, I strive to understand each of my client's culture and perception, help them to identify and build positive coping skills, and to achieve the goals they set out to accomplish.
