I’m Kimberly Heitzman, a Licensed Social Worker with 11 years of experience in mental health. My professional journey began in family preservation and general protective services casework, where I handled emergencies, worked with the court system, and addressed behavioral health, drug and alcohol issues, and justice system involvement. Later, I worked as a behavioral specialist. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, ODD, self-esteem, anger management, grief, and family dynamics. I have a passion for working with teens and young adults and have experience in family systems therapy.
I graduated from Bloomsburg University and believe in seeing clients as human beings who cope in their own unique ways. I like to return to the basics—discussing emotions, how we respond to them, and how they impact our overall well-being.
From a young age, I’ve always been a “helper.” I’ve experienced my own significant trauma and grief and have used therapy to help me process those challenges. This personal experience keeps me grounded and reminds me that everyone has a different story and processes life in their own way.
