About
My therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of the individual and their family system. I focus on developing a welcoming and meaningful therapeutic relationship allowing for the creation of a safe space for the client. I commonly support clients by using a strength-based approach, questioning patterns of thoughts that do not serve, tapping into the client's sense of purpose and the practice of meditation and mindfulness. I have training in trauma informed care, understanding developmental issues, identifying strengths in families and the use of solution-focused counseling to support clients on their life's journey.
Prior to private practice, I was a high school teacher, a high school counselor and a middle school counselor. These experiences make me well-suited to working with adolescents, young adults and their families. I'm well-versed in supporting young adults as they transition into college, the workforce and independence.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have about my practice and ideals. Taking the first step towards reaching out for support may be difficult, but it is the first step towards positive change.
