About
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides psychotherapy to individuals and families. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where developing a safe and trusting relationship is key. Together we explore feelings, thoughts and experiences which lie beneath the surface and have created barriers to happiness and connection in your life. I seek to create a safe space to encourage conversations which help my clients gain self-awareness, reduce negative symptoms, improve coping skills, express their feelings, promote empowerment , change unhealthy patterns, heal early childhood wounds, learn to connect genuinely with others, and improve quality of life.
I specialize in the following areas; trauma recovery, survivors of Interpersonal and sexual violence, issues of identity development, including sexual orientation and gender development, improving sexual health, chronic healthcare concerns, processing Grief and Loss , Multicultural and women's struggles, Family of origin issues, and self-esteem and body image work.
