I am Kym Azevedo, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 5 years of experience as a practicing therapist and an additional 3 years working in mental health support and group facilitation. I specialize in working with teens and young adults navigating life transitions, as well as adults facing mid-life and career changes. My philosophy of therapy is to help you better understand your personal narrative and express yourself through a positive and affirming story.
I completed my Master of Arts (MA) in Marriage and Family Therapy at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, combining narrative therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and expressive arts techniques.
