I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with an extensive amount of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with clients/patients on every level, from severe mental illness to life coaching and adjustment issues. My experience includes working with people with severe mental illness at the state hospital level to include long term Baker Act patients and those found Incompetent to Proceed and Not guilty by Reason of Insanity (13 years' experience). I also have 8 years' experience doing outpatient individual therapy.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy so depending on the needs of the individual, we may work on a number of things in therapy, such as coping skills, lifestyle changes, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, building healthy relationships, trauma-based therapy, and more.
As a counselor, my goal is to help others identify concerns, create a safe place for growth/healing, build strength in coping skills, and overcome life’s obstacles.
