I have over 26 years of experience in one-on-one and couples therapy, successfully treating adults and adolescents, many of whom are going through transitions in their lives. I have extensive experience in relationship issues, divorce, blended families, military issues, parenting, job and academic stress, sexual identity issues, anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. During a comprehensive assessment, I help my clients identify areas of satisfaction as well as areas they would like to change.
Most of my clients value therapy for its confidential, non-judgmental space where they can talk through serious problems and life's transitions.
I offer a warm, active approach with ongoing feedback and clients tell me that they like my style of engagement and open communication.
I did my undergraduate work at Duke University and my PsyD in Massachusetts at MSPP. In my career I have worked with veterans, business people and undergraduate and graduate students. I have been in private practice for fifteen years. My background with these different groups has taught me that people are more similar than they are different.
