First off it's a big deal to decide it's time for therapy. If you're looking for a nerdy weirdo therapist I might be the one. Your goals are my goals. I believe therapy is a relationship meant to empower people to make their own decisions. I’m not one to tell people what to do, but I will point in different directions so you can figure out what you need for yourself. Rapport is very important to me. A therapeutic alliance does not work without trust and mutual respect. I bring a balance of talk therapy with more holistic directives. I am also a huge nerd, I believe fandom can be healing and bring that into therapy where appropriate.
I have been working in this field since 2004 and bring a wealth of experience. I work with adults & older adults. I am versed in several therapy modalities to truly ensure that my clients are getting tailored treatment for their mental health. I pride myself on utilizing a trauma informed framework. I tend to start with yes & meet my clients where they are.
I have found that I am often the right therapist for people who feel unseen. I am an LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent provider, and I always want to create a safe and judgmental space where my clients can grow. Therapy is hard enough without being heard or seen.
