Kim Oliver
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, PhD, LCSW, CSAT
Location
My work as a therapist is rooted in my experience of helping families for 26 years as well as my personal understanding of the complex challenges involved in raising a family in Fairfield County. My approach is relaxed, pragmatic and respectful of the strengths that all families possess even during times of struggle. I offer parents pragmatic advice designed to address problems such as anxiety, substance abuse, disordered eating, divorce and academic issues. In my work with adults, and young adults, clients are engaged in a process to gain the insight necessary to bring about change.
I am certified by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (ittap), and have broad experience in helping men and women in recovery. I provide comprehensive assessment and expert treatment of sex addiction, pornography addiction, love addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, intimacy disorders, and relationship problems.
I believe that the knowledge gained in therapy should be a foundational step toward improving relationships, reducing anxiety and tending to other issues that may be keeping you from engaging in life with a sense of purpose and well-being.
