Making healthy connected relationships in our continually disconnecting world is a vital approach in my practice. I work with children, adolescents and adults to better understand their emotional state while also addressing unwanted emotional and/or behavioral reactions. I have worked with children and teenagers dealing with anxiety, ADHD and depression for many years. I enjoy working with adults who are dealing with phase of life issues, anxiety and mild depression. Let's work together to think more clearly, express emotions more appropriately and respond to our environment with better awareness.
Many of us experience distress as we navigate life. Unfortunately, anxiety, depression and emotional or behavioral imbalances can be the result. I strive to teach practical, age-appropriate coping skills to empower my clients to live more peacefully within their world.
I have specific training in the area of attachment issues. Individuals dealing with trust, separation or adjustment difficulties may benefit from this specialized treatment modality.

A 4-part seminar series for parents or childcare providers focused on effective communication, relationship building and limit setting. Seminar topics are: Communicating with the Child Brain and Staying In Control, Responding to Misbehavior Without Damaging Your Child or Relationship, Your Child's Developing Self-Worth and Social Skills, and Mastering the Language and Importance of Play. This parent only seminar series will be held in 1 1/2 hour sessions over 4 consecutive weeks. No on-site child care will be available. Contact Kim for upcoming seminar dates and fees.
