About
For the majority of people, counseling gives a sense of relief and hope, in part, by providing a safe and open environment to freely talk with an unbiased and non-judgmental person about what is going on in their relationships and personal lives. I provide help for couples who feel as though they don't know what else to do to make things different in their relationships and are experiencing emotional distress due to a variety of reasons from: communication problems, conflict, and distancing, to an overall feeling of disconnect with their partners.
I also work with many individuals who are struggling with feelings of stress, unease, anxiety or depression stemming from issues such as life transitions and change, relationships, divorce, grief and loss, empty nest and other problems that can impede a general sense of well-being and/or happiness.
My approach is collaborative and not without a little humor. My role is not to tell you what to do but to help you sort out your thoughts and feelings, provide you with the resources to take the steps that lead to the changes you want to make, and support you during this process.
