With more than 25 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I believe that effective treatment begins with understanding why you are struggling—not simply treating symptoms. Through evidence-based psychological assessment and careful clinical evaluation, we identify whether an underlying psychological condition is contributing to your difficulties. From there, we develop an individualized treatment plan based on the best available research and your unique goals. Throughout treatment, we monitor progress to ensure you are improving.
I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing trauma, addiction, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and complex life transitions. Often a multi-modal approach is the best treatment. This means we develop a plan using a combination of clinical skills (e.g., DBT, CBT, ACT, EMDR, Brainspotting, Neurofeedback, supportive talk therapy), recovery techniques (based on the 12 step model) and/or experiential techniques (e.g., psychodrama, nature, meditation, art, music, exercise, ropes).
